End of the summer road trips are the best! My family and I haven’t been anywhere this entire summer so, I decided to take a quick road trip to Cleveland, Ohio to visit friends and just hang out. I was so excited to try out the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander GT on the road from Chicago to Ohio.
First, this vehicle is super spacious. It has 7 passenger seating! It was only 3 of us, but it sure didn’t hurt to have extra space for my toddlers toys and our snacks for the road! The third row of seats can be placed down if you want to use back for more cargo and trunk space.
The drive to Cleveland, Ohio is a 5 and a half hour drive from Chicago. I didn’t even notice how long the trip was because the Mitsubishi Outlander GT was so smooth on the road. Mitsubishi has increased the size of the Rear Shock Absorbers and added suspension dampening, which enhances both ride stability as well as quality!! They sure outdid themselves because I didn’t feel any bumps our entire trip! Riley, my 2-year-old toddler was sound asleep about the first hour in to our ride there. SCORE!
I noticed that this ride was super quiet! Mitsubishi really came through with this one. There were improvements made to the 2016 Outlander’s driving experience with it having a really quiet cabin. This ride has sound-isolating windshield glass, sound dampening inside and out; and re-tuned suspension dampening. They also reduced engine and road noise! So we barely heard any outside noise, which really helped with a napping toddler! Besides major space, and quietness, my favorite part of the Outlander GT was that the mirrors fold automatically when you lock the car! Talk about more space to park, happy camper here!
As with any car, I always look for safety as a major component to the vehicle. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander didn’t disappoint in that area. The Outlander provides an amazing rear-view camera with a wide-angle view of the area behind the vehicle. This makes it safer and easier to navigate out of any parking space.
So I know you are thinking, how much does this ride cost though?! I have great news, its super affordable starting at $22,955! The gas mileage is good too, it gets up to 31 miles to the gallon on the highway and 25 city. You can’t beat that!
