The beautiful city of Chicago is where I call home! I wanted to surprise my husband for his 35th birthday and the Swissotel Chicago was kind enough to host us for our Staycation! We have been to this hotel several times and I love the atmosphere there. The last time we visited for the Santa Suite, but this time it was for the parents!
I love my city! Chicago is an amazing place to visit, even if you live here like we do. In addition to the many adult things this hotel has to offer, it is also an awesome hotel for families with kids. It’s located close to everything! Many of Chicago’s hottest restaurants and attractions are just an Uber ride away!

The Swissotel is located close to everything! This hotel is situated downtown right on the Chicago River. Many of Chicago’s hottest restaurants and attractions are just an Uber ride away. Swissotel is also located between the Magnificent Mile and Millenium Park, two of Chicago’s hottest places that you must put on your list to visit.

The Swissotel Chicago has so much to offer! They truly offer a luxury experience that leaves you feeling amazing! The staff is amazing making you feel right at home when you check in. The lobby is beautiful! If you are early for your check in you can grab a drink at the bar in the lobby or relax in the super comfy lobby.
Our Suite
We were hosted in an upgraded corner suite and let me tell you, the views did not disappoint! We stayed on the 33rd floor and I mean our jaws dropped at how beautiful the view was. We sat by the window and enjoyed the view for hours! Literally, the views are breathtaking! In our suite, we had 2 bathrooms! Can you imagine 2 bathrooms with your significant other! This was heaven on earth LOL! They both had a shower, one with a shower and tub. I loved this so much because he didn’t have to be in my way as I got ready for the evening! WIN-WIN! There was also a desk and a living room with a TON of space to relax.
The bathroom in the bedroom was beautiful and everything I could ask for. I’m a sucker for pretty bathrooms!
The bed was also super comfy and we fell right asleep after a night out on the town. I thought my bed at home was comfortable but the beds at the Swissotel are on another level! I just wanted to lay in bed all day! LOL! The next morning we were able to wake up to see the sunrise over the amazing view of Chicago! It was so romantic and the perfect way to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
Amenities
The Swissotel has so much to offer, like 661 oversized rooms and suites, an amazing fitness room, and also amazing dining options. They also offer in-room spa services! Yes, you read that correctly! You don’t even have to leave your room to get pampered! Now that’s a huge win!
The penthouse fitness center is gorgeous! Seriously the views from the gym made me want to never leave! I love that they offered flavored water in the gym. A great and tasty way to refuel after your workout.
If you are looking for an amazing meal, check out The Palm Restaurant located in the hotel lobby or order room service. The amazing thing is Swissotel offers 24-hour room service! Another HUGE win!
Our stay at the Swissotel was phenomenal. Couldn’t have spent a better day ringing in my husband’s birthday. It was pretty awesome to get away, even if it was right in our own city and that’s the best part! Our Staycation was one for the books! Thank you Swissotel for hosting us!
