Oh to be a kid again. Did you know that free play outside is one of the simplest and also one of the most beneficial ways that your children and also you can do?.Yes, it’s that simple, and doesn’t have to be hard to do this. Just find a place outside and let your kids explore and their imagination run wild!
Riley loves playing outside. She loves going in our backyard and playing in her playhouse. She grabs her dolls and conducts full teaching sessions lol. It’s so amazing to see her use her imagination. We also like to go for walks with our dog and explore the neighborhood. Riley always comes up with a game we can play outside while on our walks. She loves collecting leave and sticks to build houses for her dolls.
When I was younger I spent a lot of time outside with my friends playing make believe games, hopscotch and double dutch. So I love good outside fun that’s unstructured and allows creative thinking. I remember many days where it was super late but I wanted to continue to play outside because I was having so much fun with my friends making up games and creating plays.
What Is Free Play?
Kamik has launched a campaign called #FreeYourPlay which reminds parents of the times they used to free play outside and how fun it is as well as important for their kids to do the same. Rain or shine Kamik wants our kids to experience the world around them with their own imagination as we have done.
It’s getting colder here in Chicago but that doesn’t stop Riley from enjoying free play outside. Thanks to the help of Kamik she is ready for all the weather conditions while playing outside. She is in love with the Kamik Rain boots that allow her to play in muddy puddles when she pretends she is peppa pig and has adventures in our backyard.
How are you and your children enjoying free play outside?
