Product Review | Jane Carter Curls To Go + Wash & Go

Do you have super curly and coily hair?  Jane Carter dropped a new product line made just for us super curly girls called Curls To Go. This line is ideal for curly girls with type 4a-4c hair.

I am sure you have noticed the buzz on the internet about this new line, and from what I have seen so far everyone is simply impressed with this new line. I was super excited when Jane Carter reached out to me to try this new line because I have been a fan and a loyal customer of the Jane Carter brand since the beginning of my natural hair journey. What some of you may not know is that Jane Carter herself has been a hair stylist and salon owner for over 20 years! Curl Drench Cleansing Co-Wash

• Enriched with Jojoba Oil & Restorative Botanicals.
• Gently cleanses, conditions and hydrates the hair.
• Has a 2 in 1 sulfate-free formula that releases hydrating doses of essential conditioning ingredients.

How to Use For Best Results:

•  Apply to hair and detangle (I didnt even need any tools).
• Allow to sit in hair for up to 5 minutes an amazing conditioning session, then rinse.

My Thoughts:

I am a shampoo girl at heart, but this Co-Wash stole the show. All I have to say is slip was out of control! This Co-Wash cleanses and also conditions your hair. Your hair won’t feel stripped after using. It leaves hair very soft and manageable. I give it all my thumbs up!

Un-Tangle Me Leave-In Weightless Conditioner

• Enriched with Mango Butter, Slippery Elm, Marshmallow Root.
• Reduces frizz, hydrates and de-tangles the hair.
• Provides intense hydrating nourishment without weighing the hair down.

How to Use For The Best Results:

• Apply to the hair after cleansing to de-tangle hair.
• Use a paddle brush to detangle (I didn’t need one, the slip was insane!).

My Thoughts:

So, I thought I already had a favorite leave- in conditioner until Jane Carter came and changed the game with this one! This is one of my favorite products from the line, the slip it gives your hair is insane, and it makes your hair super soft and easy to detangle. It also lives up to its name because it is super lightweight. This one is going in my favorites stash for leave in conditioners.

Shine On Curl Elixir

• Enriched with Argan, Aloe Vera Gel, Macadamia Oil
• Controls Frizz, Nourishes and smooths Curls
• Smooths, Conditions,  and seals in moisture
• Adds shine
• Ideal for a pre-poo

How to Use For The Best Results:

• For optimum moisture retention, apply a small amount of to rehydrate your hair
• Can also be applied to hair before shampooing for additional conditioning

My Thoughts:

This oil is super lightweight and does not weigh my hair down. It did lock the moisture in my hair. When my hair dried completely, it was super soft and shiny. This is a great oil to help smooth your hair and prevent frizz!

Mist Me Over Curl Hydrator

• Made with Shea Butter, Sage, Nettle and Rosemary.
• Natural glycerides help to seal in moisture, making hair healthy and manageable.
• Perfect for daily use to hydrate and reactivate curls for second day hair.

How to Use For The Best Results:

• Use this to dampen, moisturize and refresh hair between cleansings.
• Can also use to re-activate your curls.

My Thoughts: 

I like a good curl refresher spray. This spray left my hair super soft and re-hydrated. The smell is amazing, so I find myself spraying more than I need LOL! I used it for an entire week to refresh an old twistout, and it did wonders on my hair.

Coiling All Curls Elongating Gel

• Made with Nettle Leaf Extract, Aloe Vera Gel, Coconut Oil.
• Perfect for Wash & Go’s.

How to Use For The Best Results:

• Apply to wet hair for wash & go styling.
• Great for a curl enhancement.

My Thoughts:

You are talking to the girl who thought that she could never achieve a super curly wash and go. I was wrong. As a result of using this Gel, I was able to create a super defined wash and go. My hair instantly had curl definition after applying this gel. It didn’t make my hair hard which is a plus. This gel gets 2 thumbs up in my book because my wash and go was one of the best wash and go’s I have ever done!

Curl Cocktail Conditioning Styling Cream

• Has Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Aloe Leaf Extract.
• This product defines curls, reduces frizz and also smoothes hair leaving it soft and silky.

How to Use For The Best Results:

• For best results, use this as a styling cream for wash and go’s, twist outs and braid outs

My Thoughts:

The Curl Cocktail has so many different purposes! You can use it as a moisturizer, or as a styler. I used it to refresh my hair before styling and helped to moisturize my hair. I will use it on a twist out next!
