Are you protective styling and looking for a super easy crochet goddess locs tutorial? Well you are in the right place! I have been protective styling all summer sixteen and loving every moment. I love the fact that I don’t have to mess with my hair every morning. I still make sure to oil my scalp with an oil of my choice. This is also an important step to maintaining your crochet goddess locs.
I still work my 9-5, and I have to be up at em’ at 4:30 am daily. Yes, I know that super early right? I take public transportation because I stay in the southern suburbs of Chicago which is about 45 minutes from my job. Chicago rush our is horrible and I need my sanity. So not having to comb my hair in the morning really helps me cut down on time.
Protective styling has been my savior this summer. Especially since I’m not fond of my hair at the moment. Due to postpartum changes that I am still dealing with. I am still learning to embrace my new hair texture but it is a journey everyday.
These goddess locs were super easy to install and took no time at all. This style is super light, and perfect for the summer time!
Details:
My hair was braided in 9 braids going across and 1 braid at the bottom. I used 6 packs. You will need a crochet hook, and oil if you choose to oil your scalp before you install.
The hair I purchased is by Amour Natty Goddess Dreadlocks from Sams Beauty online. You can purchase Hair from Sams Beauty or from your local beauty supply store.
This protective style took me a total of 2 hours to install.
