If you are like me, then you might have a hard time-saving money. I’ve got news for you, though, saving money does not have to be hard at all. It can be an easy and painless process. I found an easy way to save, and I don’t even have to think about it.
Digit is a FREE app that helps you save money. I learned about this app about a year and a half ago and decided to give it a try. I have been using it since November 9th, 2015, and I have saved $3,000 to date!
The Digit savings app allows you to save money automatically. You link your bank account to the digit app. It then analyzes your income and spending habits and finds money that it can safely set aside for you. Digit will automatically move money from your checking account into your Digit savings account. It is totally free to use too!
Whenever you are ready to withdraw your money, you can and for free. You can check the app daily for updates and reports.
For me, Digit is great because I don’t even think about it. By the time I looked up, I had saved thousands! It has helped me to save money to pay off debt.
Why I love Digit!
I know lots of people have questions and concerns so here are a few things I have learned about Digit that made me feel safe using it.
- It’s FDIC insured, so I know my money is safe.
- Your money is easy to access, and you can see everything right from your phone on the app.
- It’s completely FREE.
- Digit also ensures that they will never overdraft your account.
- You can stop and pause saving at any time.
- You can set a “minimum” amount of money to be saved.
So if you are ready to start saving sign up for Digit today! I love this app so much I was even on TV talking about it 🙂 Check out the interview here.
If you try it out, let me know what you think!
Let’s save together!

March 15, 2017 at 10:08 amSo glad digit works for you. I’ve been debating signing up for Digit since the first time I heard about it years ago. But always hesitate because I’m so paranoid about giving places access to my bank account. It’s already a stretch for me to us Mint. Maybe one day I’ll suck it up

March 16, 2017 at 11:32 amDigit is my favorite!!! It’s amazing to see how much money you can save. It’s a great idea to make sure to link it with an account that has money in it. I had to change accounts because I tend to do envelope budgeting but that really helped. Thanks for sharing!

March 17, 2017 at 5:57 pmMy bank does something similar. Every time you use your debit card to make a purchase, it moves $1 to the savings account. I’m always suprised how much I save!

April 3, 2017 at 5:16 pmHey Michelle, this scares me but I see you use it. Have you had any problems? Have you managed to save quite a bit of money? The thought of supplying other information about accounts is scary.
