Have you heard of Galentine’s day? Well if you are late to the party Galentine’s day is observed on February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. Galentine’s Day celebrates friendships, usually among women.
Some me and some of my mom friends Ebony (@brownskinbeautiful_) Kiarra (@Drkiarraking) Jenn (@mamafreshchi) and Lauren (@midwestlolita) decided to have a Galentine’s day party of our own. Living in Chicago there are a ton of new bars, rooftops, and restaurants to check out. And what better way to spend a moms night out that at one of Chicago’s newest rooftop spots. We had been eying Vu for a while and decided to check it out. Vu is a 13,000 square foot rooftop bar right next door to the McCormick Place in Chicago Illinois. Vu Skyward offers three bars and two patios that feature unique drinking, eating, and lounging experiences. You are able to enjoy the best food while also looking at breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago.
They have a really cute Kaorke room that we sang our hearts out in. I’ve only done karoke one other time before, but this time was super fun! You can pick almost any song! You can rent the karaoke room and it’s private so we thought it would be great to have moms night out on Galentine’s day this year.
The food is
Oh and let’s not forget about the glass bathroom where its full on glass. Yes, I am talking 360, walking boomerang, bomb selfies bathroom. Like if you go there you MUST get an Insta Story in the bathroom. There is also a surprise in the bathroom that is kinda cool but Ill leave that to you to see 🙂
