The benefits of coloring for adults are great. The past few weeks have been stressful for me and I have recently found myself taking comfort in coloring. With coloring you are able to escape from whatever is going around you and help clear your mind. I know you are probably thinking to yourself coloring? As a child I used to love coloring. When you would go to restaurants as a child the first thing they give you are crayons and a coloring book to color. This activity really did keep our attention at dinner back then. Coloring is very relaxing and can really help adults in more ways than we think. Coloring is very therapeutic and helps adults distract themselves from the daily pressures of life. Here are 5 benefits of coloring for adults.
- Helps with stress and anxiety levels. Since I started coloring I noticed that I am less stressed and able to focus more.
- Coloring can help you replace negative thoughts and focus on positivity. It is very important that no matter what you may be going through to think positive and speak positive. It can really help. Coloring helps to switch our brains from negative thoughts and focus only on the current moment.
- Coloring helps you unplug. I needed to unplug from social media for a few days and just take a break. Coloring helped me keep my mind off things and just rest my brain.
These are only a few of the benefits of coloring. I am so happy that I found this new way to help me de-stress. It is important that we find ways to get our minds off things for a while. I will make it my priority to take time out of my week to color at least two times a week.
