Most successful people start their day early, and by early, I am talking about 5 am early. All successful people are up early and way ahead of the game by the time the rest of the world wake up. That speaks volumes because they have already probably completed 50% of their goals before the day before the average person wakes up. I told myself that in 2017 I want to make it a habit of waking up super early to get my day started. Here are some things that I have been practicing, and that I plan to continue to get my day started in the new year.
Don’t hit the snooze button
As hard as it may be, don’t reach over and press the snooze button. The best thing to do is to just get up and start your day. You will be just fine if you don’t get that extra 5 minutes of sleep that you think you need. Just give it a try.
Get to the water
Starting off your day hydrated will not only make you feel better but it will also make you look better. Your skin and your body will thank you. You can add lemon or cucumber to your water for a nice refreshing taste.
Get some reading and writing in
Start your day reading the latest news or grab that book that you have been reading on the nightstand. Write down some inspirational quotes or goals that you have for the day. Get your mind focused on having a great and positive day!
Turn the music on
Well, don’t wake anyone but you can get your day started with some tunes! You will be surprised how much your favorite song will get you in a happy mood!
Meditation or Yoga
I actually tried meditation for the first time this year. Crazy right? Meditation really helps you get the positive juices flowing in the morning. I loved listening to Russell Simmons app. Yoga is something that I have been trying to get into more. It helps wake up your body and your mind! So let’s get going.
Let’s make 2017 an amazing and positive year!

Michelle
