I love to travel and see new places, and I also love experiencing new places to visit in my own city so when this opportunity presented itself I was ecstatic! The Chicago Home Run experience featured a relaxing staycation at Hotel Zachary, A VIP experience at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, and a Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee game.
Fun fact about me, I have lived in Chicago for my entire life but I’ve never been inside Wrigley Field. I’ve driven past numerous times but never got the opportunity to experience the stadium. Also, I was excited to stay at the new Hotel Zachary right in the heart of Wrigley!
My Stay at Hotel Zachary
Hotel Zachary is such a beautiful hotel, the architecture is breathtaking. This amazing hotel was inspired by Zachary Taylor Davis who is the legendary Chicagoan and the world-renowned 1914 architect behind Wrigley Field! Hotel Zachary has an amazing way of blending new and old, refined and comfortable, unique and familiar, all at once. When I arrived at the hotel, I couldn’t stop looking at the architecture. It was simply breathtaking. The location of the hotel is also perfect as it is in the heart of Wrigley!
The rooms were so beautiful! I didn’t want to leave. I just loved looking at all of the touches that they put into the hotel. It was thought out very well. It was a great experience. Check out some photos of my stay!
VIP Experience at Wrigley Field’s 1914 Club
When I found out that we would be having drinks and dinner at Wrigley Field’s 1914 club, I was very excited. I heard from someone that there is a 15-year wait to be a part of this club!! I am so grateful I got to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity!
The 1914 club is a 75,000 square feet lounge carved out below the stands behind home plate as part of the multiyear renovation of the ballpark. The food was amazing and we had a really good time. We also got to go on the field to see where the 1914 club seats are!
Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers Game
Before the game started we got the chance to take a tour of the field. We got some amazing views from different parts of the stadium. Wrigley Field is such a beautiful place. We got to learn more about the history of Wrigley as well.
I’ve been to a few baseball games but nothing tops this one! We got to sit and mingle in the Budweiser Patio! It was so fun, we were treated to all you can eat and drink! I ate so much lol, it was a really fun time. Most importantly CUBS WON!!!
